Relay for Life - May 1-2nd

We all have know someone touched by cancer. Through funding and research, the American Cancer Society is working to eradicate cancer. The Union School District has joined with other community based organizations to support the Relay for Life. This year's event is being held on the Oster School campus. It will be both fun and uplifting. In addition to the relay, there will be music and different activities for those who choose not to walk but would still like to come out and support a team. If you are interested in creating, joining, or supporting a team you can find more information online at http://www.relayforlife.org/cambrianca. Vanessa Genovese has already set-up a team for friends and families of the Lietz community called "Team Lietz Lions". You can email Vanessa at genovese@sbcglobal.net if you would like to join.

Principal's Corner

Congrats to Dartmouth

When our 5th grade students transition to middle school they go to Dartmouth for 6, 7, and 8th grades. Darthmouth was honored as 1 of only 3 middle schools in the state of California as a "School to Watch". They were featured on the front page of the San Jose Mercury News. We are so proud of Dartmouth and the years of work they have dedicated to refining their instructional and social programs. Our students are so very lucky to be able to transition to such a high quality middle school.
